Achievements

80’s through early 90’s-playing and singing in rock bands and opening up for such acts as Elvin Bishop and the Gregg Allman band also working as an engineer and programmer at Island Media along side producer Jack Douglas(John Lennon, Aerosmith) producer Ron Isley(The Isley Brothers) working with Liberty Devitto(Billy Joel’s band) and bass player Will Lee(David Letterman band) writing commercials for The Helen Keller Institute and Cannon.

    Dick Clark show in Montreal, Canada playing piano for Little Anthony, Bo Diddly, Freddie Cannon, and The Shirelles
  • 1992
    Played the Fiddle leaf restaurant in St, Thomas, U.S Virgin islands playing for such notables as Victor Borge and Charles Osgood also shared the stage and played with rock legends Dave Mason and Eric Burdon at Barnacle Bills bar restaurant also in St. Thomas

    Back to the Virgin Islands playing piano bar at T.C.’s, The Elysian and at Stouffer Grand beach resort
  • 1994
    Fly to Europe to play at the Brittania hotel in Trondheim, Norway then to Haugesund, Norway to play at the Hotel Bestastua Spangt also back to St. Thomas to play Stouffers Grand Beach Resort

    My son Mathew is born. Play piano bar on the Star Clipper Tall Ship sailing around the Caribbean.

    Off to the Republic of Ireland to play at the Downhill Hotel and Golf resort in Ballina, County Mayo
  • 1997
    Playing Switzerland this year at the Figaro Restaurant in Dornacherof. I’m off to St. Thomas again. Form band in St. Thomas the Sun Kings.

    My son is old enough to ask me not to leave for so long anymore. Stay local. Playing piano bars and forming a very successful club date band, Only in America. Writing and recording Tropical boredom.

    Fly down to St. Thomas for a two week Sun Kings reunion tour!
  • 2003
    Audition for and land the principle role in Twyla Tharp’s and Billy Joel’s musical production of “Movin’ Out” playing the “Piano Man” part on Broadway as well as the occasional stint with the national tour.
  • 2005
    December 11th “Movin Out” closes on Broadway
  • 2006
    I form new band “Glass Houses”. A ten piece tribute, and musical revue to the music of Billy Joel. We showcase at the Brickhouse Brewery Friday, February 3rd to record breaking crowd. March 31st and April 1st Glass houses flys to the Virgin Islands for a two night stint at Tillets Gardens. October 13th We play Edgerton Center 900 seat theatre to a "sold out" audience.
  • 2007-2011
    My band "Only In America" reforms. We perform at weddings and private parties throughout the United States, destination weddings, various theatres and concert halls, and for major corporate functions. My "Billy Joel" tribute show (Glass Houses) starts a hugely successful tour of the state of Florida. We add Tortolla and St. Croix to our yearly tour of the Virgin Islands.
    During these shows we got to share the stage with Bernadet Peters, Alec Baldwin, fashion designer Nicole Miller, Hairspray Golden Globe Award winner Nikki Blonsky and of course our very own American Idol runner up "Big Mike". We start work on our new, all original CD "Our Time".
  • 2012
    The 1st of May we release ten songs on our CD "Our Time" to rave reviews! Independent feature length film Halcyon (2012) picks up the 5th track from the CD called "One Heart's Been Sold" to be the only song used in the film for a critical transition. Watch the clip on YouTube.
    On Sunday, July 15 The Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM airs "Our Time" CD from 1-3 p.m...more to come!
